KAUSHAL FOUNDATION GIFTS STATIONARY KITS TO STUDENTS
CHANDIGARH — July 16, 2026
With the motivation of Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria , in a significant step towards grass-roots educational outreach and social service, a delegation representing the Tricity Intelligentsia Group visited the Government Model High School (GMHS), Rehabilitation Colony No. 2, Maloya, early this morning.
The purpose of the visit was to establish a meaningful rapport with 150 students of Class X, become well-acquainted with their aspirations, and understand the deep academic and socio-economic challenges they face. During the interaction, the visiting dignitaries distributed specially prepared stationery kits to all the students, which were provided by the Kaushal Foundation.

The delegation comprised former administrative, judicial, and academic figures, including Sh. Sarvesh Kaushal, Former Chief Secretary, Punjab; Dr. Harish Nayyar, Former Secretary, Government of Punjab; Sh. P.C. Sharma, Former Member, Haryana District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission; Sh. Sham Lal Bandhu, Former Government of India Officer & General Secretary of Kaushal Foundation; and Dr. Anita Kaushal, Principal, Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG), Sector 11, Chandigarh.
As the first concrete, structured step of this educational initiative, the group has identified a dedicated private Science and Mathematics teacher to conduct daily remedial classes for a selected cohort of 50 academically weakest students. These intensive sessions will be held during the school’s “Zero Period” from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. starting tomorrow, July 17.
In addition to the daily academic remedial classes, the Tricity Intelligentsia Group will soon organise a series of monthly specialised interactive lectures. Members of the Tricity Intelligentsia, leveraging their vast professional life experiences and personal guidance, will deliver inspiring talks focusing on holistic youth development.
These lectures will seamlessly weave together crucial areas of development: starting with personality development and motivation; instilling values of truthfulness, integrity, and law-abiding citizenship; promoting environmental consciousness and anti-drug awareness; and fostering a strong sense of nationalism, civic responsibility, and gender sensitisation. Additionally, the series will expose students to the deep traditions of Indian knowledge systems while imparting vital guidance on health, hygiene, career awareness, and foundational life skills.
150 students of Class 10 were distributed stationary kits sponsored by Kaushal Foundation.
The Tricity Intelligentsia Group earnestly appealed to other members of the region’s intelligentsia to spare their valuable time, as per their convenience, to become an active part of this noble mission.
